Tracking (Illustration Dan calls this “kerning,” which is not correct tracking adjusts the space between multiple characters parings, such as in a word, line, or paragraph, while kerning adjusts the space between a specific pair of characters. Line spacing (he does this quickly, but it’s a crucial skill – be sure to practice it!). Type style (bold, italic, etc.) – note that these are all elements of a type family. Character options (you can edit these through the “Character” window as he does, and you can also edit them using the option bar at the top of the screen). Save your document in your personal folder on the S drive by the start of class on Week 2.You do not need to exactly duplicate the template colors, but you should be able to achieve a very close similarity to the template.In addition, use the selection tool and color picker to emulate the fills and strokes of the shapes.
